Why Invest in Australian Silica Quartz

Australian Silica Quartz Group (ASX: ASQ) listed on the ASX in October 2007 and has built a portfolio of Western Australian mineral projects aligned with some of the strongest structural demand themes in the resources sector — from critical minerals for the clean energy transition to the raw materials behind glass, ceramics, aluminium and steel production. Rather than betting on a single commodity or deposit, ASQ offers investors exposure to four distinct project areas at different stages of development, spreading risk across markets, geographies and time horizons while retaining meaningful upside in each.

The Company's most advanced projects are its kaolin and bauxite interests. The White Swan Kaolin Project, near Esperance in Western Australia, hosts a JORC-compliant inferred kaolin resource of 47 million tonnes and sits just 34kms from one of Southern Australia's largest bulk export ports at Esperance. As of May 2026, the project holds Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration approval for a 250,000 tonne per annum mining operation — a significant regulatory milestone that positions White Swan on a clear path toward production. In bauxite, ASQ's Darling Range projects are located in the largest bauxite and alumina producing region in the world and are supported by a joint venture with HD Mining & Investments, the Western Australian subsidiary of Shandong Bureau No.1 Institute for Prospecting of Geology & Minerals — giving the Company a direct relationship with a major Chinese resources group and a built-in pathway to one of the world's largest alumina markets.

Alongside these, ASQ holds earlier-stage but well-targeted positions in high-grade silica quartz and gold/base metals. Its silica sand and hard rock quartz projects sit in a market already served by established international buyers, including Mitsubishi, Taiwan Glass Industry, and the Toyota & Tochu partnership.

The Company is running a research and development program aimed at producing ultra-high-purity quartz (greater than 99.997% SiO2) for premium industrial markets.

At the Koolyanobbing Metals Project, exploration for gold, nickel, copper and lithium has already delivered encouraging results, including drill intercepts of 4m at 4.4 g/t gold and 8m at 0.7 g/t gold, in an area with a history of high-grade historic gold workings and largely untested modern exploration potential.

This project portfolio is overseen by a board and management team with genuine ASX capital markets and technical experience, combining decades of financial, corporate and public-company experience in the resources sector with hands-on geological and mining expertise. Under this leadership, ASQ has maintained a steady stream of tangible news flow — including the 2026 acquisition of Australian Kaolin Pty Ltd, the White Swan mine development approval, and ongoing drilling at Koolyanobbing — giving shareholders regular, verifiable milestones against which to track the Company's progress.
